General Restaurant Manager, Tim Ackerman
Mr. Ackerman is a proprietor and General Manager of Magnolia and Sushi Mara. Mr. Ackerman's extensive restaurant experiences include managing Two Bitts Bistro and Traditions Catering, both in Boulder, as well as employment as a server at Q's Restaurant with Peter. His active involvement in his wife's OB/GYN practice over the past 10 years has given him extensive experience in the day-to-day operations of a business.
Restaurant Manager, H. Peter Soutiere
Mr. Soutiere is a proprietor and Manager of Magnolia and Sushi Mara. Prior to his position as proprietor and General Manager of Magnolia and Sushi Mara, Mr. Soutiere managed Q's Restaurant in the Hotel Boulderado, a Mobile four-star restaurant in Boulder, for 9 years and Manager at Two Bitts Bistro for 2 years. During his tenure at Q's Restaurant, he efficiently managed all aspects of the front of the house and handled both the financial and marketing strategies of a 3 million dollar a year establishment. His dedication to service and wine knowledge was evident in his well-trained staff, a Wine Spectator award winning wine list and his designation as Sommelier. One of his strengths is his hands-on approach to management with a very personal approach with guests of the restaurant.
Business Manager, Mara Soutiere
Mrs. Soutiere is a proprietor and the HR director and business manager of Magnolia and Sushi Mara. Mrs. Soutiere is a business graduate of Oberlin College and a culinary graduate of Johnson and Wales University. Prior to her opening Magnolia and Sushi Mara, Mrs. Soutiere worked for Wild Oats Market at their corporate office as Research and Development Chef for Prepared Foods. Her extensive culinary experience includes the position of sous-chef at Q's Restaurant and the opening of Le Cirque 2000 in New York City. Mrs. Soutiere brings a business background to the restaurant with her degree from Oberlin College and experience managing all financial responsibilities of Magnolia and Sushi Mara.
